Eligibility Criteria

  • Child must be a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident of Indian Origin
  • Child must be aged between 7 to 14 years old
  • Monthly gross household income must be $1500 or below
  • Child must be enrolled in a Student Care Centre. Parent should have applied for and be receiving SCFA or centre based subsidy before being eligible for SINDA’s BASC subsidy
  • If child is enrolled at private student care centre, then the parent must have applied for and be receiving SCFA before being eligible for SINDA’s BASC subsidy
  • Only upon receiving SCFA or centre based subsidy, students can apply for SINDA’s BASC subsidy 

Compulsory documents of submission for BASC application to SINDA (sent via post mail):

  • SINDA’s BASC 2012 application form (2 pages) – all fields should be completed clearly and accurately
  • Copy of Birth Certificate of child
  • Copy of Identity card of Parent(s) / Guardian(s)
  • Copy of latest pay slip(s) of parent(s)/guardian(s)/other family members
  • Last 6 months of CPF Contribution History if parent is unemployed
  • Approval of SCFA letter is a MUST (e.g. MCYS, CDC, Centre based subsidy etc)
  • Other supporting documents that justify the child’s need for subsidy
  • A copy of 2011 final year examination result (or) 2012 mid term examination result
  • Divorce documents/death certificate (if applicable)

Please note that all completed application forms with above documents should reach us by the 3rd of the month in order for the payment to be processed for that month.  Incomplete forms will not be processed.

Disbursement

  • SINDA will assist with 50% or up to a maximum of $75.00 of the remaining fees after  subsidy
  • Disbursement of the BASC subsidy will be made directly to the centre’s bank account.
  • SINDA, upon its regular reviews of each application, may decide at any point to extend
  • or discontinue the BASC assistance to the child.
  • Please note that centres are required to submit Annex A on a monthly basis for subsidy to be credited into the centre’s bank account. Annex A has to reach us by the 3rd of each month to enable subsidy processing for that month received.
