About 100 dads attended the Conference for Indian Fathers, held in Tamil for the first time! The conference was held at Hotel Inter Continental on Saturday, 29 September 2012. The event was organised and run by the Singapore Indian Development Association and supported by Dads for Life from MCYS.

Mr S. Manogaran, Executive Director of the Academy of Singapore Teachers gave a keynote address. He encouraged fathers to share their vision and struggles with their children, as this can inspire as well as foster understanding. Mr T Padmanathan, Morale Welfare Recreation Marketing Specialist for the Navy Region Center of Singapore was another speaker at the conference, He delivered yet another interesting address in which he highlighted the importance of the father in the family unit. There was also a panel discussion on the crucial roles fathers play, as well as challenges they faced as parents.
