Short-film Screening for Parents & Youth

ABOUT

Programme

Spend the evening with your family at a screening of ‘Kolusu’, a short film, followed by a dialogue session about the film’s themes and issues. To end the night, film-goers will be treated to a specially-provided buffet dinner!

Kolusu’ is the story of Ranjini, a free-spirited 15-year-old who searches for her own identity, but destroys her freedom in the process. This short film (in Tamil with English subtitles) is supported by the National Youth Council (NYC) under the Youth Change Makers Grant.

This film will:

  • Use important issues in the film to encourage a dialogue among youth and parents
  • Discuss real-world challenges faced by today’s youth
  • Provide a space for youth and parents to voice their concerns and address them in a constructive manner
  • Facilitate healthy relationships and understanding between youth and parents
