The MDIS – SINDA scholarships are offered to candidates who are keen on pursuing courses at the Management Development Institute of Singapore




  • Non-tuition fees for Part-Time programmes include MDIS membership entrance fees, annual membership subscription fees and fee protection scheme.
  • Non-tuition fees for Full-Time programmes include MDIS membership entrance fees, annual membership subscription fees, MDIS Experience seminar fees, medical insurance and fee protection scheme.
  • The above does not include miscellaneous fees, which refer to any non-compulsory and non-standard fees which the student will pay only when necessary or applicable.  Such fees are normally collected on an ad-hoc basis by MDIS when the need arises.
  • The scholarship is only tenable for the specific period of study. Should the student decide to withdraw from the scholarship or defer, the scholarship will be voided and the student will be required to re-pay the quantum of scholarships.
  • Candidates are required to volunteer their time with SINDA or the Singapore Indian Education Trust (SIET) during their duration of their course and a student deed would need to be signed with SINDA.
  • Approved Scholarship (Diploma/Degree) recipients must commence their programme after the MDIS Scholarship Awards Ceremony, failing which the scholarship (Diploma/Degree) will be forfeited. Details of the ceremony will be provided to successful candidates.

 Processing Time

  • Applicants are required to apply for the scholarship within the deadline indicated below, regardless of the course intake period.
  • Applications will take about 3 – 4 weeks to be processed after the closing date.
  • Only shortlisted candidates will be notified of the interview dates with SINDA.
  • Only successful candidates will be informed of the outcome by SINDA.
  • All scholarships are subject to approval.
  • Successful applicants may begin their course only after receiving the scholarship offer and signing the student deed.



To be considered for a scholarship, interested applicants must ensure the following:

  • They must be a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Residents of Indian origin
  • They must not possess a first Degree (for Degree courses) or a Diploma (for Diploma courses)
  • They must meet the minimum requirements to a course of study as stipulated by MDIS
  • For part-time courses, applicants must be 21 years and above with a minimum of 2 years working experience
  • For full-time courses, fresh graduates with acceptable grades are welcome to apply
  • They must have either 2 ‘O’ Level credits or Higher Nitec with acceptable grades (*Kindly verify with PSB for more details.)
  • They must possess exceptional academic achievements
  • They must not hold any other scholarships or study awards
  • They must obtain a letter of offer from MDIS before application
  • They must submit a short essay detailing their reasons for their scholarship application
  • Their total net household Per Capita Income (PCI) should not exceed $3,500 per month and $850 per capita
  • Existing MDIS students will not be eligible to apply for this Scholarship



  1. Visit MDIS (501 Stirling Road, Singapore 148951) and speak with a course consultant. Do mention that you are keen to apply for the MDIS-SINDA Scholarship.
  2. Clarifyif there are any bridging modulesyou will be required to take in order to start your Diploma or Degree course. Please note that fees for bridging modules are not included in the scholarship.
  3. Obtain a letter of offer from MDIS. Then, proceed to downloadthe SINDA Scholarship application form from the SINDA website.
  4. Send the completed form together with the necessary documents indicated in the application form to the address below.
