SINDA’s Family and Youth Development Division (FYDD) runs programmes that range from helping a child to read to empowering women. Bringing out the best in youths is among our main focus.
Remedial Tuition is a home-based programme that caters to children from needy families in mainstream schools. Volunteer tutors visit the homes of these children once a week for 6 months to tutor and to assist the children with their studies.
We engage youths through programmes like Project Victory, Senior Victory and Kaki Klub to motivate them to maximise their potential. We encourage youths to be part of the Young Change Makers - an initiative by National Youth Council. It is a grant scheme to inspire youths to embark on youth-initiated projects within their schools or communities.
The objective of the Women Empowerment programme is to promote self-confidence and independence among women so that they are able to manage their roles in the family more effectively.
