WANT to see the making of future Rajagopals and Sundramoorthys? Come to the Indian Association soccer field at Balestier Road and you will see about 90 Indian kids honing their skills every Sunday. For the past six weeks they have been training under coaches Vincent Subramaniam, P N Sivaji, George Suppiah and V Sundramoorthy. These boys are part of the IA-Sinda Soccer Excellence Programme , a project aimed at motivating Indian kids to excel in education through soccer. The programme , which groups the boys as under-12 and under-14, is the first of its kind for Indian boys in Singapore. MP for Bukit Timah GRC R Ravindran launched the IA-Sinda Soccer Excellence Programme last Sunday. Tamil Murasu has adopted the programme as part of its Adopted Charity Programme.
