2012 MDIS-SINDA SCHOLARSHIPS

The MDIS – SINDA scholarships are offered to candidates who are interested in doing a part-time course at the Management Development Institute of Singapore. In 2012, a total of four scholarships will be offered for a variety of courses ranging from Professional Certificates, Advanced Diploma and higher Diploma.

Eligibility

  • Applicant must be a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident belonging to an Indian sub-ethnic group
  • Applicant must not possess a first degree
  • Applicant must meet the minimum entry requirements to a course of study as stipulated by MDIS
  • Applicants must not hold any other scholarships or award
  • Total net household income of applicant must not exceed $3000 per month or $500 per capita

Scholarship Awards

  • Four part-time non-degree scholarships are offered
  • The scholarship covers the full course fees (excluding non-tuition fee, supplementary exam fee and re-module fee) for the entire duration of the course. Application fee will be waived

Successful Candidates

  • No bond or contract is attached to the scholarship
  • Scholarship recipients are required to pay the membership entrance and subscription fee
  • Scholarship recipients are required to volunteer their services to SINDA for 1 year

Supporting documents to be submitted

  • Identity Card or Citizenship Certificates
  • Copies of relevant educational certificates and testimonials
  • Short essay on why you have decided to pursue the selected course of study and the need for the scholarship
  • Copy of the original payslip or letter from the employer must be attached for income criteria verification. In the case where applicant is unemployed, a copy of his/her CPF statement must be submitted

Applications will not be considered if any of the above documents are not submitted.
