SINDA collaborates actively with like-minded partners for the main reason of maximising educational opportunities for all Indian students.

Collaborative Tuition Programme provides more Tuition Centres closer to students’ homes. The four Self–Help Groups – CDAC, Eurasian Association, Mendaki & SINDA – run 65 Tuition Centres island-wide, catering to students of all ethnic groups.

STU – Star Programme is a tuition programme that SINDA offers in collaboration with Singapore Teachers’ Union. It caters to P4 – P6 students. Classes are offered in 25 centres island-wide. Subjects offered are English, Maths & Science at a monthly fee of $80/-. SINDA subsidizes up to $45 per Indian student per month.

‘A’ Level Tuition Project is run by NUS Tamil Language Society (NUSTLS) with the support from SINDA, SIET and Narpani Pearavai. This programme runs yearly between May to October. It aims to provide affordable and quality tuition to all JC1 and JC2 students to prepare them for the GCE ‘A’ level exams. Tuitions are offered for all core ‘A’ level subjects.

Criteria for Non-Indians to enrol in SINDA STEP Centres:

  • Students with a household income of $2,500 or below or a per capita income of $650 or below
  • Students must be from Primary 1 to Secondary 5 studying in a regular day school
  • Students must be Singapore Citizens/ PRs

Criteria for Indian students to enrol in CDAC/ Mendaki Centres:

  • A monthly household income of $2,500 or below or a per capita income of $650 or below
  • Studying in a regular day school
  • Singapore Citizens/ PRs
  • For CDAC: Primary 1 to Secondary 5
  • For Mendaki: Primary 1 to Primary 6

Indian students are also able to register for tuition programmes in CDAC and Mendaki Tuition Centres.
