Project Read aims to give Indian children a better start in school by equipping them with basic English reading skills, as well as inculcating the reading habit in them at an early age.

	We help preschoolers from low-income families, who have reading difficulties and parents who are unable to help read to their children .
	Each child is matched with a volunteer.
	We seek commitment and co-operation from parents.
	We conduct weekly 1 hour sessions for up to 6 months.
	Compulsory library membership and visits to the library.
	Complete help, in terms of Neu PC and bursaries to children, is provided.

	Children between the ages of 4 to 8 years old.
