ABOUT

Programme


The Peer Leadership Programme is conducted for youth who display leadership potential.

They will be equipped with the necessary skills and groomed to assume leadership responsibilities in sustainable programmes conducted by the Youth Division in 2019.

The key outcomes of the programme are:

  • Increase in life skills & soft skills
  • Increase in leadership skills

Creating opportunities for participants to develop their leadership skills


PROGRAMME

Details


The cohort will be made up of 2018 SINDA Youth Awardees and youth with leadership potential who apply to be part of the programme.

Life skills workshops & Leadership Training:

These workshops will serve to impart them with the necessary knowledge, skills and attitude required to meet the criteria of a Peer Leader.

Deployment to sustained programmes:

Upon successful completion, the Peer Leaders will then be deployed to serve in at least one SINDA youth programme.

Tentative Workshop/Training Dates:

Leadership Training – 2nd February 2019

Basic First Aid Course – 23rd March 2019

Basic Financial Management – 15th June 2019

Digital Etiquette – 27th July 2019

Civic Engagement – October 2019

Note:

  1. You will be required to attend at least 1 of the above workshops/training as a peer leader.
  2. Peer Leaders who complete their term with the sustained programmes will be recognized at the SINDA Youth Awards Ceremony


FEE

Structure


Fees for the programme are fully subsidised.

Open to all Indian youth aged 13-25 who are Singaporeans or Permanent Residents
