Code in The Community (CITC) is a large-scale coding programme to get children from disadvantaged backgrounds interested in coding. The programme not only focuses on equipping students with digital literacy skills but also emphasises leadership development, presentation skills and teamwork to help children stay curious and build resilience.
This 4-week online programme brings free coding classes to young Singaporeans from disadvantaged backgrounds. Classes will be held twice a week over 4 weeks.
Children will be introduced to either Scratch (8-12 yo) or Python (13-16 yo) coding platforms. The coding classes will be brought to you online so as to keep your kids curious and self-motivated as they learn to code from the safety of the home!
Code in the Community is supported by Google and Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA).
