Parenting Strategies to Nurture Children

ABOUT

Programme

As parents, you might be feeling anxious about your children’s academic performance and future, in our fairly competitive academic environment. You might even question your parenting strategies on motivating your children with external rewards. For some parents, your well-intentioned attempts may have also affected your relationship with your children.

Join us for the following online sessions (via zoom) that would equip you with strategies to effectively nurture your child!

1) Learning vs Performance-Oriented Parenting

(10th Oct Sat 2.20pm – 4pm)

World-renowned psychologist, Dr Carol Dweck categorized parents as either learning-oriented or performance-oriented. Could becoming a more learning-oriented parent be more helpful?

  • Nurturing an innate desire to learn.
  • Becoming a “learning-oriented” not a “performance-oriented” parent
  • Motivating strategies and Case studies

2) Scream-Free Parenting

(11 Oct Sun 2.20pm – 4.00pm)

As parents, you might not like to watch your children making mistakes as it takes time and energy to enforce the consequences. Thus, you might get anxious, stress out and start yelling at your children. How else could you enforce discipline?

  • How to become a Scream-free Parent that will lower your stress level
  • Negotiation strategies

3) IQ+EQ+SQ=SUCCESS

(24 Oct Sat 2.20pm – 4.00pm)

IQ is not the only measure of success. Other types of intelligence may be more important to success in life – EQ and SQ. EQ helps us to manage our emotions and achieve our goals while SQ helps us to find meaning and happiness.

  • Equipping parents with essential skills in developing IQ, EQ and SQ in their child
  • Holistic Development
