Scholarship


The KAPLAN – SINDA scholarships are offered to candidates who are interested in pursuing a programme at KAPLAN Singapore.


SCHOLARSHIP

Details


i. Scholarships Available

  • Diploma Scholarships of 100% (Full-Time) and 50% (Part-Time)
  • Degree Scholarships of 100% (Full-Time) and 50% (Part-Time)
    *KAPLAN reserves all rights to award Scholarships (50% or 100%) at its sole discretion

iii. Note:

  • All scholarships entail Tuition Fee only (excluding bridging module fee, non-tuition fee, supplementary exam fee, re-module fee) for the entire duration of the course.
  • Successful candidates are required to pay the membership entrance and subscription fee.
  • The scholarship is only tenable for a specific period of study. Should the student decide to drop out, or defer, the scholarship will be voided and the student has to re-pay the quantum of Scholarship.
  • Shortlisted candidates will be notified of the interview date and only successful candidates will be informed of the outcome by SINDA.
  • The institution’s and the committee’s decision is final. SINDA does not enter into correspondence with regard to the reasons for non-selection of applicants.
  • You may only start your course, after receiving the scholarship offer and signing the SINDA student deed.
  • Candidates are required to volunteer their time with SINDA or our partnering organisation, the Singapore Indian Education Trust (SIET) upon completion and/or during the course.


STUDENT

Eligibility


To be considered for a scholarship, you must be:

  • Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident of Indian origin
  • Existing KAPLAN students are not eligible to apply for this Scholarship
  • Must not possess a first Degree (for Degree courses) / Diploma (for Diploma courses)
  • Must meet the minimum requirements to a course of study as stipulated by KAPLAN
  • Must have either 2 ‘O’ levels credits or Higher NITEC with good grades(Do check with KAPLAN if you do not possess this qualification)
  • Must have high academic achievement
  • Must not hold any other scholarships or study awards
  • Applicant must obtain the letter of offer from KAPLAN before application
  • Must submit a short essay on the reason for the scholarship application
  • Total net household Per Capita Income (PCI) should not exceed $1000


APPLICATION

Process


  1. Visit KAPLAN Singapore, 8 Wilkie Road, #02-01, Wilkie Edge, Singapore 228095 and speak with a course consultant, do mention that you will be applying for the KAPLAN-SINDA Scholarship.
  2. Ask the consultant if there are any bridging modules you need to take up in order to start your Diploma or Degree course. (*Please note that fees for bridging modules are not included in the scholarship).
  3. Download the application form. You must first submit a softcopy of the duly completed application form (including the supporting documents as stated on the checklist) in a single PDF file via email to scholarships@sinda.org.sg
    Subsequently, after review, the hardcopy application form and supporting documents can be sent by post or personally handed over at SINDA office at the address reflected below.
  4. You are required to apply for the scholarship 2 months before the course commencement.
  5. Application Processing Time: Approximately 3 – 4 weeks.
