SINDA Launches ‘Let Her Shine!’ Career Clinics to Strengthen Workforce Readiness for Indian Women
The initiative provides all-rounded support through professional attire, career guidance and industry networks to equip women to pursue their career aspirations with confidence.
- 14 March 2026 – SINDA launched the ‘Let Her Shine!’ Career Clinic Series, a new initiative designed to empower young Indian women to pursue their career aspirations with greater confidence, clarity and resilience. The series equips participants with practical skills, industry exposure and professional networks to help them navigate their career journeys with confidence.
- In line with Budget 2026’s emphasis on skills development, career mobility and a resilient workforce, this initiative equips young women with the guidance, networks and opportunities needed to navigate today’s changing job landscape. Through first-hand insights and practical career support from industry professionals, the series complements national efforts to prepare individuals for meaningful career pathways and long-term professional growth. It also aims to broaden perspectives and encourage young women to explore and pursue opportunities in their chosen fields.
- Designed for young women aged 16 to 35, the Career Clinic Series will feature eight sessions held throughout the year, comprising workshops, webinars and guided discussions. The sessions will help participants identify their strengths and interests, explore suitable career pathways and gain practical insights through one-to-one consultations and peer engagement. Participants will also develop key professional and soft skills while gaining access to internships, training opportunities and other career resources.
- The series will be led by a core team of 30 female thought leaders and industry professionals who have been longstanding supporters of SINDA’s ‘Let Her Shine!’ Many have previously served as mentors in the ‘Let Her Shine!’ Mentorship Programme and speakers at past conferences and have come together to support this new series. Representing sectors such as healthcare, uniformed services, STEM, communications, law, public policy, finance and banking, and entrepreneurship, they will provide participants with professional guidance across a diverse range of fields.
- The launch event was held in partnership with local fashion label Wolf and Byrd and LinkedIn, a professional networking platform.
- The event featured a “LinkedIn 101” workshop conducted by LinkedIn, which shared insights on strengthening professional presence and building effective resumes. LinkedIn also provided 100 participants with a complimentary one-year LinkedIn Premium subscription.
- Sandhya Dovedi, Partnerships Manager at LinkedIn, said, “LinkedIn’s vision is to create economic opportunity for every member of the global workforce. Through the complimentary subscription, participants will have access to tools for learning, networking and career development beyond the event. Through this partnership, we hope to empower more young women with the resources, skills and connections needed to unlock meaningful career opportunities and confidently take their next steps into the workforce.”
- In the event’s Style Uplift segment, 100 young women received customised office wear sets from local fashion brand Wolf & Byrd, each comprising a blouse and formal pants. As both a symbolic and practical gesture, the outfits were provided to support participants as they prepare for job interviews and enter the workplace with confidence.
- Founder of Wolf & Byrd, Ms Bhajinder Kaur, collaborated with SINDA on the initiative to support young women as they prepare for key milestones in their career journeys. She shared, “Fashion has always been about more than garments for us. It is about dignity, confidence and storytelling. Partnering with SINDA allows us to bring that philosophy into real lives by supporting young women at a meaningful turning point. Initiatives like these remind us that when businesses and communities collaborate with intention, we can create impact that goes far beyond the moment itself.”
- 26-year-old Jhanani Ramesh, a participant of the ‘Let Her Shine!’ initiative, had the opportunity to take the stage in the outfit she received and share about her journey with the programme. Reflecting on the significance of such initiatives for young women like her, she said, “This initiative gave me a boost of confidence. It reminded me that with the right support and resources, young women like me can pursue opportunities we might not have considered before.”
- The launch event was graced by Guest of Honour Ms Indranee Rajah, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office, Second Minister for Finance and Second Minister for National Development, who joined 150 participants and partners in marking the start of the initiative.
