Job Description:
The Engagement & Volunteer Management Intern supports the planning and execution of community programmes and volunteer initiatives within SINDA’s EVM Division, gaining hands‑on experience in programme delivery, volunteer engagement, stakeholder coordination, and process improvement.
Responsibilities
- Assist with data entry, data management, and the maintenance of accurate volunteer and programme records.
- Contribute to system improvement initiatives and digitalisation efforts.
- Ensure the proper handling, storage, and sharing of sensitive data in compliance with organisational policies.
- Support exploratory initiatives in automation and AI, workflows, data handling, and reporting support where applicable.
- Support the preparation of reports, dashboards, and post‑event evaluations.
- Assist in preparing project documentation, timelines, and coordination materials.
- Provide support for logistics planning, vendor coordination, and on‑ground event execution.
- Assist with volunteer onboarding, engagement, and communications.
- Support liaison with community and corporate partners.
- Work collaboratively with team members across divisions to support programme delivery.
- Undertake additional tasks aligned with learning objectives and operational needs.
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a degree or diploma in Event & Project Management, Social Work, Community Development, Business, Communications, or a related field.
- Has an interest in community engagement and volunteer‑related initiatives within the social service sector
- Familiarity with digital tools such as Microsoft Office, Microsoft Forms, and basic Excel or data handling will be an advantage.
- Communicates well and builds positive interpersonal relationships
- Exhibits good organisational, multitasking, and time‑management skills.
- Possesses strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Able to adapt quickly and perform effectively in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
- Participate in assigned events when required.
- Flexible to work on weekday evenings and Saturdays (overtime payment will be provided for approved overtime hours worked)
