PSB Academy – SINDA Sponsorship

The PSB Academy - SINDA Sponsorships are offered to candidates who are interested in pursuing a Diploma or Undergraduate Degree programme at PSB Academy.

*All Diploma and Undergraduate Degree programmes as published in PSB Academy’swebsite are open for Sponsorship application, unless otherwise informed by PSB Academy.Pre-Diploma level programmes, Postgraduate and Doctorate programmes, as well as shortcourses and e-learning courses, are not eligible for the sponsorship.

*Sponsorship submission to SINDA should be at least 3 months before coursecommencement.

Note:

  • All sponsorships entail the Course Fees only. Excludes the following for the entire duration of the course:
    • Enrolment & Re-enrolment fees
    • Examination & Re-examination fees
    • Fee protection scheme fee (during re-module)
    • Medical insurance fee (during re-module)
    • Tuition fees for bridging courses
    • Miscellaneous fees listed in the "Schedule C" of the PSB Academy Student Contract
    • Cost of textbooks and all other related materials (which may change annually)
  • The sponsorship is only tenable for the specific period of study. Should the student decide to drop out, transfer or defer, the sponsorship will be voided, and the student has to re-pay the quantum of sponsorship.
  • Each Sponsorship Recipient must achieve an average of seventy-five per cent (75%) of attendance and shall sit for all prescribed assessments for the duration of the sponsorship.
  • Each Sponsorship Recipient is expected to achieve at least Grade C for each module every term.
  • Short-listed candidates will be notified of the interview date, and only successful candidates will be informed of the outcome by SINDA.
  • The institution’s and the committee's decision is final. SINDA does not enter into correspondence with regard to the reasons for the non-selection of applicants.
  • You may only start your course after receiving the sponsorship offer and signing the SINDA student agreement.
  • Candidates are required to volunteer their time with SINDA upon completion and/or during the course.
  • Each Sponsorship Recipient is expected to be involved in student chapter and/or club activities, as well as Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities initiated by PSB Academy throughout the course of study and be featured in the publications/and or promotions of PSB Academy and in any other student recruitment promotion activities.
  • The Sponsorship Recipient is expected to take on the role of Student Ambassador for six months after the completion of the sponsored course, so that PSB Academy could have the option to feature them in the PSB Academy’s collaterals. The Sponsorship Recipient is to represent PSB Academy at information sessions, during official guest visits or other public events throughout the duration of the course.
Applicant Eligibility

To be considered for a sponsorship, you must be:

  • Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident of Indian origin
  • Existing students who are currently pursuing a programme are not eligible to apply for the sponsorship
  • Must not possess any other Degree or higher (for Degree courses) / Diploma or higher (for Diploma courses)
  • Applicant must obtain the Letter of Offer from PSB Academy before the application
  • Applicant must submit an essay on the reason for the sponsorship application
    • 250 words or more (for Diploma sponsorship applications)
    • 500 words or more (for Degree sponsorship applications)
  • Total net household Per Capita Income should not exceed $1,600
  • Other factors are taken into consideration:
    • Attainment of academic merit by meeting one grade higher than the Minimum Entry Requirement to enter the program offered by PSB Academy
    • Participated in Co-Curricular Activities (CCA)
    • Exhibited any leadership qualities
    • Have been awarded and/or accepted by the same sponsorship before

  • Visit PSB Academy City Campus Main Wing or STEM Wing and speak with a programme consultant, do mention that you will be applying for the PSB Academy - SINDA Sponsorship.

  • Please ensure you upload all the supporting documents to your online SINDA Advancement Awards.
  • You are required to apply for the sponsorship 3 months before the course commencement
  • Application Processing Time: Approximately 3 - 4 weeks

 

Checklist - Supporting documents to be uploaded

  1. Letter of Offer/Contract Package from Institution/University
  2. Essay on why you have decided to pursue the selected course of study and the need for sponsorship.
    Include the following as well:
    1. 250 words or more (for Diploma sponsorship applications), which includes: 
    2. 500 words or more (for Degree sponsorship applications), which includes: 
      1. Career aspirations/Future plans to work in a related field
      2. Work/Internship experience
      3. CCA/Volunteering achievements
  3. Copies of Relevant Certificates and Testimonials (e.g. GCE ‘N’ Level, GCE ‘O’ Level, Diploma, Co-Curricular Activity records, Leadership/Volunteer experience, etc.)
  4. Recent Photograph
  5. NRIC of Applicant and all Family Members staying in the same household (Both sides of NRIC)
  6. Income Verification - Applicant and Family Members staying in the same household who are:
    1. Employed to produce both of the following:
      • Copy of CPF contribution history for the last 6 months AND
      • Copy of the latest 3 months’ payslips
    2. Unemployed/Retired/Homemaker to produce:
      • Copy of CPF contribution history for the last 6 months
  7. Other supporting documents of the applicant and family members (e.g., Medical letter, death certificate or divorce certificate etc.)

Applications without all the supporting documents will not be processed.
