Parent-Child: Upcycle, Recycle, Create!
Join us for a fun and meaningful parent–child session that brings recycling and upcycling to life through creative, hands‑on messy play. This programme nurtures children’s independence while empowering parents to support learning in a playful and encouraging environment.
The session begins with an interactive storytelling segment, where parents help their children explore simple environmental concepts through engaging stories and discussion. This shared moment makes sustainability easy to understand and enjoyable for young learners.
Parents then take an active role during a hands-on upcycling activity, as children transform recycled bottles into colourful flowerpots. Through messy play, children are free to explore, make their own choices, and express creativity — building confidence, decision‑making skills, and independence, with gentle guidance.
The experience concludes with a succulent planting activity, where parents and children complete their creations together. This introduces simple ideas of care and responsibility while giving children something they can continue nurturing at home.
Families can look forward to a joyful, creative experience filled with connection, exploration, and meaningful learning moments!
